1x An Early Victorian Oak  and Leather Library armchair by Holland & Sons Ex Whitehall chair
its stamped Holland & Sons  and VR  made by Holland and sons
Royal warrant holders rare early chair seldom seen outside Museums and Stately Homes
The size is 86cm high back 61cm wide at arms 72.5cm hight of arms
62cm depth 48cm seat height the chair it got brass castor wheels
scrolled armrests curved and dished tablet top rail on baluster tapering front legs and square splayed back legs terminating in brass cappings and castors.
the chair has the Holland & Sons stamp also a Journeyman stamp of L.Doyle
and the later FCO ex-security alarm label fixed to the underside of the frame.  
Condition: has old rubs to the legs from age and use being as it's from 1840s age the seats have been reupholstered in black real leather in the past and great condition real amazing rare designer antique chair.
This chair if from a small batch of antique chairs we were about to buy that were ex Whitehall Foreign & Commonwealth Office FCO pieces.

then became the Foreign office

which later became then Foreign and Commonwealth Office
